How they met
Justin and Hannah met at church when they were both helping out during Vacation Bible School. The first time Hannah ever saw Justin was when he came into her classroom to ask for some markers. All she could do was stare at his blue eyes, and she totally didn’t even hear him ask for the markers. After he asked again, she scrambled through the box to find some, but eventually just gave up and gave him the entire box.
Hannah hoped Justin would talk to her more before the end of VBS, and on the last night she said she dressed up super nice, wearing a green blouse and some skinny jeans, and even curled her hair. She said, “I remember we kind of matched because he was wearing some green shorts with a camouflage shirt.” Justin talked to Hannah a little, but not much (she figured he must already have had a girlfriend). Later though, when Hannah needed help popping some balloons, Justin volunteered to help because he was the only one with a pocket knife. Hannah remembers him grabbing the balloons from her because he said he was scared she would accidentally cut herself, and after all the balloons were popped, Justin pulled some leftover bubble sticks out of his pocket and handed one to her, she blew them all, so he gave her his. “It was like kindergarten! Haha! But I knew then that he was something special.” said Hannah.
The next day Hannah took the initiative and sent him a message on Facebook, and then Justin asked for her number and out for their first date. The rest was history!
Favorite things to do together
They love going out on nice dinner dates to try new foods, and they always following up with the movies.
Favorite physical attribute
She loves his blue eyes! It was the first thing she ever noticed about him.
He says, “Everything about her is beautiful. She has a great complexion!”
Favorite character trait
She says he is very patient with her when she is being “difficult.”
He says, “She is a “closet” funny person. She is hilarious, but only around me."
Proposal Story
The day Justin proposed, he told Hannah he would take her wherever she wanted to go. They went and held baby chickens and ducks because Hannah LOVES animals! Justin then announced they were going to take family pictures at the Botanical Gardens, which Hannah thought was weird because they had never done anything like that before. She said “I secretly thought he might be proposing but I didn’t say anything, haha!” They walked around for a while at the Botanical Gardens and when they got to a beautiful arbor, Justin got down on one knee and proposed! Hannah said, “ I cried, I was so happy! Afterwards we went
out to eat at one of our favorite spots! It was a wonderful night!”
