Lucas is a Deputy Sheriff for Anderson County, Haley is an Emergency Department Nurse and loves every minute of it.
How They Met
Haley - “We've known of each other since high school and had some mutual friends. We finally met up one night in college when I was out with friends for a girls night out. We've been inseparable ever since.”
Who said I love you first?
Haley - Surprisingly Lucas said "I love you first" (:
Favorite thing to do together
“Our favorite thing we love to do together is check cows and watch the sunset on his farm. We sit for hours at a time just watching the cows and petting them.”
Favorite physical attribute
Lucas - “Her eyes are my favorite because they sparkle.”
Haley - “I love his laugh, no matter the situation his laugh can always make me smile.”
Favorite character trait
Lucas - “Her dedication to everything she puts her mind to.”
Haley - “He always stays calm no matter the situation. He doesn't get upset easily and is able to make any situation better.”
Proposal story
Haley - “Lucas told me we were going to eat with his family for his brother's birthday in Anderson. We had talked about how we needed to stop and get a gift on the way (we're both slackers on this). He had me convinced that they had moved a store to downtown Anderson.
There was an event going on, so we had to park and walk a little ways. We approached an alley and he said, "Here let's go this way, its a short cut.” I was a bit skeptical, I mean who wants to go down an alley, but trusted him anyway.
As soon as we walked through the gate, he began to pour out his heart to me and get down on one knee. A photographer popped out and started taking our pictures and then both our families came out from behind a building to join in the celebration.
Of course I said Yes!! We are over the moon to begin our lives as Mr. and Mrs. and share this journey with our loved ones.
