Cliff recently passed his real estate exam and is pursuing a career in real estate. Jessica works for Yoder Naturals (a small business that makes natural health products) in customer service and sales.

How they met

Jessica moved to Seneca in the spring of 2018. They met that summer for the first time through mutual friends. Cliff thought that Jessica was sweet and hoped to get to know her better, but she was determined not to like him because she had already been teased about him several times. But all of that soon changed…

proposal story

“We had attended my brothers wedding and love was in the air. The next morning we headed to Asheville, NC to spend the day. There I took her on a hot air balloon ride, which was on her bucket list of things to do. I knew it would be special for her. After that we went to the Biltmore Mansion and explored the house and lovely gardens. I had the ring in my pocket and was looking for a private spot in the gardens, but it was a busy day at the Biltmore. Eventually we found some ice cream and went to a park in Clemson along Lake Hartwell to watch the sunset. I knew this was the moment and my heart started pounding in my chest. I read her the poem that I had written for her, and ended by getting down on one knee and popped the question. Obviously she said yes! And I am overjoyed to spend the rest of my life with this wonderful lady. “
