Kadalynn and Clay have known each other around 15 years and basically grew up around each other. They grew up in a small town and their parents were really good friends in high school.

Clay is a Lineman for Blue Ridge Electric Co-op. He has been a Lineman for 8 years. He began working there part-time when he was 16.

Kadalynn just recently graduated Clemson University in December of 2019. She is now a nutrition Educator for Clemson Cooperative Extension in Pickens County.

Who said I love you first?

Kadalynn: “I actually beat Clay to it.”

First Date

Kadalynn: “Clay invited me to a cookout with his family and friends. It was very low-key and relaxing.”

Favorite thing to do together

Clay and I are pretty simple people. We enjoy riding dirt road listening to older music or just sitting by the pasture and watching our cows.

favorite physical attribute

Kadalynn: “I love Clay eyes. His eyes always change color depending on the weather or what he wears.”

Clay: “Kadalynn has the prettiest smile. I love when she is laughing and cutting up with me.”

first kiss story

Clay and I shared our first first at one of our friends wedding, under beautiful large oak trees. Its funny because the that friend is going to be our officiant.

Favorite character trait

Kadalynn: “I love how hard working and determine Clay is. He sets goals and works so hard to achieve them, not only for his self, but also for us.” Clay: “Kadalynn is a very thoughtful person. She always makes sure I have everything I need, without me asking.”

Where do you see yourselves in 10 years?

Clay and I would love to own more land in the future and run a small to medium cow-calf operation. We also see us having a small family by then too.

Proposal story

Kadalynn: “Clay and I had dinner at his house and we were having a wonderful night talking and listening to our favorite songs. As I was cleaning up, I turned around and he was down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I love how simple, yet memorable he made it.”
