Matt + Hunter | Wedding Day | Sleepy Hollow - Clemson, South Carolina
We are so excited to finally share a sneak peak of Hunter and Matt’s Wedding Day! They were married on April 17th, the most beautiful spring day! Keep scrolling to read about the sweet moments from their day + see our favorites!
Tell us about the moment you seen each other for the first time on your wedding day.
Matt: “I could not believe the woman of my dreams was finally walking down the aisle to meet me.”
Hunter: “I was calm all day leading up to the ceremony, but about two minutes before going down the aisle all the nerves set in, however, when the curtain opened and I saw Matt for the first time, the only emotion I had was pure excitement. I could not wait to finally become his wife.”
Hunter, describe your husband on your wedding day.
Matt was looking good! It’s very rare to see Matt outside of golf polos and t-shirts, but he was so handsome in his suit.
Matt, describe your wife on your wedding day.
“Perfect”
What were the top 5 moments of your wedding day?
1. Seeing each other for the first time 2. Japanese food 3. Getting ready with the guys and girls before the wedding 4. First dance 5. Sparkler exit
Were there any moments that made you cry?
Matt: “Hunter walking down the aisle and when our nieces and nephews walked down the aisle.”
Was there a blooper or “oops” moment at your wedding?
Nothing too major. We had a mix up with our DJ. For Matt’s dance with his mom, the DJ played a break up song instead of the sweet mother-son song we had picked out, but Matt and his mom played it off so smooth- no one even questioned it.
Is there a story to the song you picked for your first dance?
We had narrowed it down to three songs for our first dance. One night we were dancing in the living room and “Then” by Brad Paisley came on, and Matt said, “This is it, this is the song I can see us dancing to for our first dance.” (He may or may not of gotten a little teary eyed when he said it.)
What was your best memory from your wedding day?
Overall the whole day was the perfect memory, but getting to eat dinner together at our own table and talk and just reflect on the day was something special we'll both remember.
