Tell us about the moment you seen each other for the first time on your wedding day (either your first look or when walking down the aisle).
Sierra— “I just remember feeling so excited to finally see him at the alter. When the doors finally opened, I felt like everything and everyone just faded away and it was just me and him. Seeing the look on his face when he saw me walking down the aisle was something I’ll never forget.”
Clay— “When I saw her I knew that this was the most beautiful girl in the world, and I couldn’t believe that I was about to be married to her forever.”
Sierra, describe your husband on your wedding day.
“He was probably the most handsome that I’ve ever seen him.”
Clay, describe your wife on your wedding day.
“She looked absolutely beautiful.”
Were there any rituals, traditions, or sentiments that were part of your wedding? If so, can you tell us about them?
For the unity part of the ceremony we had our parents come up and light a candle, and then they prayed over us. It was super special.
What were the top 5 moments of your wedding day?
1. Walking down the aisle 2. Our vows we wrote to each other at the ceremony 3. Our first dance 4. Dancing with our friends 5. The sparkler exit
Were there any moments that made you cry?
Sierra— “Haha! There were lots! We both cried when I walked down the aisle. I cried when I danced with Clay, when I danced with my dad, and when Clay danced with his mom and Jennifer. And I’m pretty sure Clay cried for all those moments too :)”
Most weddings never go quite as planned. Was there a blooper or “oops” moment at your wedding?
We were both pretty go with the flow the day of our wedding, so I’m sure there’s lots of things that went on that we don’t even know about, but we did have a whole table of homemade cupcakes that nobody knew about so they never got eaten!
Is there a story to the song you picked for your first dance?
Not really, I heard it when I was looking for our song and I just instantly loved it.
What was your best memory from your wedding day?
Our entire ceremony
