We had so much fun getting to know Jake & Ashley a little better during this engagement shoot! Also, the fact that Ashley is a teacher and Jake is a police officer, well it just gave us the “all american couple” vibes + they were just the cutest together!
We decided on one of Oconee’s most beautiful locations, Chattooga Belle Farm. There is just not much that competes with that view! We can’t wait for their wedding later this fall!

Jake is a Sheriff’s Deputy for Oconee County and Ashley is a 2nd grade teacher at Homeland Park Elementary in Anderson.
Jake and Ashley met in high school, which means they’ve known each other for about 10 years, although they’ve only been together for the last year and a half. Jake said “I love you” first.
What did you do on your first date?
Jake: “I do not remember....”
Ashley: “Well, we technically had our first date when we were 16 years old in high school. We went to the bowling alley in Easley. When we reconnected, I went over to his new house to see it for the first time and had dinner!”
Favorite thing you like to do together
Jake: “Eat food and travel”
Ashley: “We like to explore new places together!”
Do you have a first kiss story?
Jake: “I don’t think so…”
Ashley: “We had our first kiss when we were about 16 years old! When we later reconnected, I guess you could say we had our “first” kiss again. :)”
Where do you see yourselves in 10 years?
Jake: “That is still up in the air…”
Ashley: “I see us having a family!”

Ashley: “He is incredibly hard working and is so kind to everyone he meets.”
proposal story
Jake: “I proposed to Ash at Spoonauger Falls in Mountain Rest, SC. I had 2 friends hiding in camouflage taking pictures. She was stunned and we then spent the day in Highlands, NC together.”
Ashley: “Jake proposed to me at a waterfall in NC. It was beautiful!! I couldn’t believe it was real.”
