Describe yourself in three words:
Passionate, Caring, & Encouraging
What is your profession?
Registered nurse in the ICU at AnMed Health
Describe a perfect day:
A perfect day would include a day trip to the mountains with Carter and our families. We would eat breakfast at the Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge, TN to start our day. We would then spend the day shopping, riding go carts, and visiting Dollywood. To end the day we would go to Cade’s Cove to ride horses.
Tell us about your dress, from finding it to buying it, to when you put it on for this shoot:
I found my dress at Dressing Dreams in Hartwell, GA, which is the first place that I went to try on dresses. I thought I had an idea of what I wanted my dress to look like, so I selected a few that I thought I would like. I tried those on, but I didn’t end up liking any of them. My mama then started looking and brought me a dress that she thought I would like. I tried it on and loved it! We ordered the dress and had to wait a little while for it to come in. When it did come in we took it to Staar Tailors in Anderson, SC to have it altered. I had to go back several times to make sure it fit perfect, and when I put it on for my bridal portraits it was everything I had hoped it would be. Everything started to finally feel real.
I am pretty sure most of us have dreamed about our wedding day since we were little girls. Describe your childhood wedding dream:
My childhood wedding dream was similar to my dream now, but a little more rustic. When I was younger I dreamed of having my wedding in a barn, and I’m thankful to be able to have our wedding in a beautiful venue that was modeled after a barn. I also thought I wanted there to be a lot of burlap and wood decorations, but I grew out of that and decided that I wanted more flowers and eucalyptus instead. I have always known that I wanted lace on my dress, which I did end up having, but my dress is more of a princess dress than I had ever imagined. I pictured the men wearing blue jeans and boots, but I also grew out of that and we decided on western tuxedos with boots. Overall, my childhood wedding dream just matured a little, but a lot of the elements are still the same.
What was the best part of your bridal session?
The best part of my bridal shoot was getting the chance to spend the day with my mama while I was getting ready and taking the photos. We don’t get to spend very much time just the two of us, so I was very thankful to be able to experience everything with her.
Which photo, or series of photos is your favorite?
My favorite photos were the ones that we took outside with the mountains in the background! I also love the picture that was taken of me and my mama.
