Tell us about the moment you seen each other for the first time on your wedding day

Taylor— “It was walking down the aisle, I was so excited to finally see him! I was super giddy.”

Alec— “When she was walking down the aisle, she was stunning.”

Taylor, describe your husband on your wedding day

“He was super handsome in his suit, he also cracked me up with his cowboy hat. He wanted to put it on as soon as we got back down the aisle but forgot we had to take pictures. It was so funny.”

Alec, describe your wife on your wedding day

“Beautiful. Giggly. She was so excited the whole day.”

Were there any rituals, traditions, or sentiments that were part of your wedding?

One thing the groomsmen did that we loved was that as they shook Alec’s hand at the alter, and they each handed him a Lego figure. It was so funny and very true to Alec’s style. Another sentimental thing we had was Taylor’s great grandmother’s handkerchief that was wrapped around Taylor’s bouquet. She passed in 2019, so it was special to have a part of her there.

What were the top 5 moments of your wedding day?

First time we saw each other

First Kiss as husband and wife

When we cut the cake (Alec did not know it was going to be red velvet which is his favorite, I told him it would be something else- the surprise was great!)

Dancing with all our friends

Getting to run through the sparklers when it was time to go

Were there any moments that made you cry?

Taylor— “I really did not cry the entire day, I thought I would but I was just way to excited.”

Alec— “Towards the end of the reception, my buddy and I were talking and reminiscing on the day so far, and we both got pretty teary eyed.”

Was there a blooper or “oops” moment at your wedding?

The kids struggling to get down the aisle. It was kind of an expected blooper to be honest. I was kind of hoping they would do something funny because you never know what to expect with little kids. I think it was hilarious!

Is there a story to the song you picked for your first dance?

We changed the first dance song probably ten times. We listen to so much music and couldn’t land on a song, but we could just picture it with that one it was just so good.

What was your best memory from your wedding day?

Taylor— “Alec’s face when he realized our wedding cake was red velvet. I told him it was vanilla or something, and had told him that I really did not like red velvet (I love red velvet I was just trying to throw him off.) It was such a fun surprise!” Alec— “Having fun with all my friends and family there, I loved getting to celebrate our new life together.”
