How long was your engagement?
We were engaged the beginning of December 2021 and were married the end of July 2022 so about 8 months
Tell us about the moment you seen each other for the first time on your wedding day
Tim— “As soon as as saw her walk around the building with her father my heart jumped up in my throat and I could not do anything other than smile. It was everything I though it would be and more. She was so beautiful. There may have been a few tears of joy. The closer she came down the aisle, the more calm I became, and I knew for sure that this moment was what I had been waiting for my whole life. From the time I saw her walking down the aisle, I did not see anyone else there. It was like we were in another world- just the two of us.”
Ashley— “I remember that long walk I had to take down the aisle, and I did not know if Tim was smiling or crying. When I saw him he was smiling, and I was not nervous at all. I remember thinking, wow he is the most handsome man ever in his suit. When we joined hands we both were full of smiles and nothing but joy- this is what I had waited for this my whole life.”
Ashley, Describe your husband on your wedding day
Ashley— “Tim was just as handsome as he ever was, but more specifically on this day because we were becoming one. He was so full of emotions and could not stop smiling. We kept talking during the ceremony and through our first dance to keep the nerves calm, and we shared some good laughs too. Tim was so full of life, laughter, and smiles on this day. It was the most beautiful day for the both of us. I could see it in Tim's eyes that he was the happiest he had ever been.”
Tim, Describe your wife on your wedding day
Tim— “She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen (even with all the war paint on her face). Her hair was curled up and she was glowing with happiness. She had the biggest smile on her face that I had ever seen. Everyone could tell by her smile she was ready for this day. After pictures we came in and had our first dance, and I have no idea who was in the room watching or where they were. It was just me and her in each others arms dancing and talking and enjoying us. I think we talked more in the next few hours about how happy were were and how excited we were for our future together. After the dance we went to the bridal suite and finally sat down and had a romantic dinner together before we went down to meet everyone at the reception. I remember vividly how happy we were and just being in that moment together, and that it was pure love and joy.”
Were there any rituals, traditions, or sentiments that were part of your wedding?
For our unity ceremony we wanted to do something a little different. We chose to pour paint on to a canvas. We used each of our favorite color. Tim was green and Ashley was purple. What most people couldn't see was under the paint there was a double infinity symbol and D.I. that is on the canvas. Long story short.... When we were dating we started watching a show together on Netflix. The show was called Revenge, and we loved watching this show together. It took several months to get through the entire series. The main character always told her father she loved him double infinity, and she had the symbol tattooed on her wrist. After we saw that we started telling each other I love you D.I. (double Infinity), and it just stuck with us. While we did the paint pour we had Jesse and the Rippers singing the song Forever, from Full House, and Tim killed it singing to Ashley. This was a show that we both remembered watching growing up and both remembered the song and most of the lyrics after 30 years.

Were there any moments that made you cry?
Ashley— “When we read our letters to each other, and some during the ceremony.”
Tim— “When I saw her for the first time, and when I spoke to her father after the wedding telling him I would do everything in my power to make his daughter the happiest woman.”
Most weddings never go quite as planned. Was there a blooper or “oops” moment at your wedding?
We both talked about this after the wedding was over and we were home. There were not really any oh crap moments or bloopers, we don’t think. In fact we were stressing all night Friday night about rain in the forecast for our day, but it never rained until after we went inside after the pictures were done. Everything was perfect.
Is there a story to the song you picked for your first dance?
Several months ago we were riding somewhere, and we heard the song on the radio. Neither one of us had heard the song before, and it expressed everything we wanted in life. A house, a family, travel the world, and grow old together. When Summer asked us to pick a song for our engagement photos that was the song we chose.
What was your best memory from your wedding day?
Tim— “Ashley threatening me if I crammed the cake in her face.
Ashley— “Walking the aisle with Tim after the ceremony to our song, Signed, Sealed, Delivered- only because I thought, Wow! I just got married to the love of my life! and we are about to start our new life together.
