Tell us a little about yourselves

Sydney— “Logan is a supervisor at Duke Energy and outside of work he loves being outside. I am a teacher and I love reading.”

How long have you known each other?

We have known each other for 3 years.

What was life like before you met compared to now?

Logan— “No Bueno”

Sydney— “For me I normally hung around my family so I constantly stayed busy. Meeting Logan has brought me a friend and someone that my family likes.”

How did you meet? And what was your first impressions of each other?

Logan’s sister set us up. We are both very awkward so we both saw each other as shy and sweet.

When you first met, what attracted you most?

Sydney— “How sweet he was and his hair, LOL!”

Logan— “How pretty she was.”

Who said I love you first?

Logan

What did you do on your first date?

We went to eat sushi and they sat us down in between a bunch of college girls so that added to the awkwardness.

Favorite thing you like to do together...

Watch tv together.

Number one physical quality

Sydney— “His hair.”

Logan— “Her hair.”

Sydney— “Logan’s sense of humor.”

Logan— “Syd’s sense of humor.”

What has been the biggest challenge you've faced as a couple? And how did you overcome that challenge?

Syd’s attitude and Logan’s need to be right. Working towards communication and being more patient.

How has your fiancé changed you?

Sydney— “Logan taught me patience.”

Logan— “Syd taught me how to be more helpful.”

Where do you see yourselves in 10 years?

Having a family of our own.

Proposal Story

Sydney— “We went to Gatlinburg for Christmas and Logan had the ring be my last Christmas present. We were both excited and happy. I was so excited that Logan didn’t really get the chance to put the ring on my finger because I snatched it from the ring box.”
