Tell us about the moment you seen each other for the first time on your wedding day.

“We both couldn’t stop smiling and were just so glad we finally made it to that moment.”

Alanah, describe your husband on your wedding day.

“He just looked so happy! I’ll never forget seeing him standing up there smiling, and of course, I thought he was so handsome!”

Jay, describe your wife on your wedding day.

“She was definitely anxious! But she was beautiful.”

Were there any rituals, traditions, or sentiments that were part of your wedding? If so, can you tell us about them?

“We wrote each other a letter that we read before the ceremony. In the letter we wrote vows to each other, and it was really sweet to read because neither of us are very good at communicating our emotions.”

What were the top 5 moments of your wedding day?

The ceremony and seeing each other for the first time.

Our first dance when our two boys ran up to dance with us!

Taking pictures with all our family and friends in the photobooth.

Dancing with all our friends and family.

Running under the sparklers together for our exit.

Were there any moments that made you cry?

“I definitely cried when I read Jay’s letter. Jay says he felt like he was getting a little teary-eyed when he saw me walk down the aisle, but he didn’t *actually cry.”

Most weddings never go quite as planned. Was there a blooper or “oops” moment at your wedding?

“Definitely the rain! I was so scared it was going to ruin the day but it honestly made it better!”

What was your best memory from your wedding day?

“I think the ceremony— walking out and seeing all of my family and friends together, and just how pretty everything turned out, also that feeling of relief of it finally coming together.”
