My dog was dying of cancer (at the time I didn’t have a dog)

Homecoming

If you could take any three of your friends on a cross-country trip in your family's hatchback: who would you choose and why?

Claire, Ali, Emily, and I always have so much fun together and even if we got stranded I’m sure we would still have a good time!

What is your greatest fear, and have you ever tried to face it?

Stepping out of my comfort zone, trying new things and talking to new people used to be such a scary thing for me. Gaining confidence and good self esteem has helped me so much and meeting new people and trying new things is now something I love!

What is one outrageous thing you desperately want to try before you die?

Travel the world! I want to go to Peru and Greece.

If you play a sport, what life lessons have you learned from playing it?

While doing competitive cheerleading I’ve learned that criticism can be a good thing and it can benefit you a lot. Constructive criticism is a good way to help you grow in your sports and learn so much. It was something I used to take hard on to myself but overtime I am so glad those things were said to me!

What fad or trend are you most embarrassed about being a part of?

Vsco girl stage, wearing scrunchies up my arm was just not cute, and crocs never again.

You've worked so hard to get to this point, what's next for you?

I will be attending school for business while working at a salon. I hope to one day own my own hair salon!

Describe your senior year in three words

Exiting, stressful and unforgettable.

Throughout all of your years of school, which teacher has inspired you the most?

Mrs McDowell, she has always been so encouraging and supportive with my cosmetology career. She has pushed and helped me to start my career and shadowing as soon as possible. She is kind and patient and has seen passion I have for the industry and has inspired me so much.

Who has given you the best advice?

My mom she has always given me the advice to follow my dreams and stay confident with what I believe in. Which has guided me through my decisions.

If you could either LEAVE your home town, or NEVER leave your hometown, which would you choose?

If I left my hometown, I would move to Charleston.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Working in a salon learning more about different things in the hair industry, and traveling.
