Dominic & Ashley | Engagement Session | Downtown Greenville South Carolina
Dominic and Ashley met when Dominic came to be a chief at the Fair Play Boys Camp for two years. They saw each other around in the community and talked a few times, but didn’t start dating until Dominic moved back to Ohio. They’ve been dating for nine months, and will get married in June!
Dominic works with his family’s masonry business in Ohio and Ashley has worked with her family’s restaurant business most of her life, but last year started working with a music program at Foothills Christian School (something she loves!).
Eek!! Can we just say how much we love when couples pick locations that are special to them!! Keep reading to see how downtown Greenville ties into their story + see our favorites from their session!
Who said I love you first?
Dominic did :)
What did you do on your first date?
Ashley: “Dominic drove straight from Ohio on a Sunday morning, had some tire trouble on the way, but got to my house right before we left for our date. We went to J Peters in downtown Anderson and hardly touched our food. Then, deciding we wanted something to drink, drove all the way to Greenville to get coffee from Spill the Beans. We had such a good time, but are thankful to be where we are now :)”
Favorite thing to do together
We love to play games together, but love doing the little things together too. We've cooked together, done chores together, worked outside, and all of it is ten times better together.
Favorite physical attribute
Ashley: “His eyes are the dreamiest. That was the first thing I noticed about him when he came to pick me up for our first date.”
Dominic: “Her eyes are gorgeous; I could drown in them.”
Favorite character trait
Ashley: “His steadiness.”
Dominic: “Her sense of humor.”
Where do you see yourselves in 10 years?
“Married :D Dominic would love to own his own business someday, and I would enjoy pursuing teaching music and raising animals. And of course we'd love if we'd be blessed with some children by then :)
Proposal story
Ashley: “We went to Greenville for supper, and I noticed he was pretty impatient. We enjoyed our dinner and then headed to the Pickens drive-through Christmas light show. He thought we'd be through in 10 minutes, but it took over an hour! It was late by the time we got home, but he said that some friends were going to come over, so we should get a fire started. We got it started and he turned on the string lights that had been conveniently strung, and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! My best friend and my brother had been hiding and came running down afterwards.”
